Sept 21 & 22: Wyoming Wild Horses: Two Paint Out opportunities at Big Horn Canyon and Sunlight Basin. One of the best kept secrets for travel is the Big Horn Canyon on the Wyoming, Montana border. Most people are traveling to Yellowstone National Park and miss this grand Park. The Big Horn River travels through this spectacular canyon through the Yellowtail Reservoir. The river and Pryor Mountains became cattle and ranch country. Four original ranches are in this Park. All owned by the Park Service. At least two are restored or in the process. This is also home to the Pryor Mountain Mustangs. Original Mustangs roaming free through these mountains.
Just East of Cody, Wyoming is the McCullough Peaks, barrin hills that belong to the BLM. Wild horses live in these hills. These horses are mainly horses turned loose over the years and are now wild. Traveling from Cody to Greybull, WY you often see these horses off the road aways.
In September we are arranging two different tours for artists to come paint this area. This is being organized by Bob and Robin Berry, both experts on this region as well as Yellowstone National Park. These two tours will be in September. Labor Day week end and just before Rendezvous Royale in Cody, Sept 21 & 22.

For more information on these tours go to www.robinsnest.com for Robin Berry or contact Pat Schermerhorn at www.patschermerhorn.com

Sept 23-26: 2nd Annual Cody Art Show upstairs in the Historic Irma Hotel, Cody. I will be in room 20. www.codyartshow.com

"Buffalo Roam"

“Where the Painted Buffalo Roam”  is a project of the West Yellowstone Economic Development.  25 Buffalo Cows will be painted by different artists.  I was selected to do one.  So on November 3 I journeyed to West Yellowstone with friends Robin and Bob Berry of Cody and my mother, June.   The Buffalo were at the Holiday Inn and there was a short ceremony while sponsors drew an artists name.

Friends and family have wanted to see this project so I am putting ongoing photos on the web.  I have until April 1 to get the project done.  I have named my buffalo “Buttercup”
